1. Plug a midicable from midi A out on the MPC in the midi in of your triton.
2. Plug a midicable from midi out on the triton to the midi a in on the mpc.
3. On the triton set midi local to off (see triton manual how to do that) (this means that when you press a key on the triton keyboard it wil not send a signal directly to the internals of your triton but to the midi out. In point 4 i explain why)
4. On the mpc do as specified on page 53 of the manual and set soft thru to omni A. (since we want midi signals coming in on midi in A to be sent thru to Midi out A that way the midi signals coming from the triton will be sent to the mpc who will able to record them in its sequencer but the signals will also be sent out to the triton again so that the triton can also respond to actions on its keyboard as well as to data coming from the mpc sequencer.)
I hope this made sense to you. For more general info on midi i found http://www.tweakheadz.com/how_to_get_st ... _midi.html to be very helpful (I hope that MPC-tutor is ok with me mentioning that site with which btw I have no affiliation whatsoever
