OUCH!!! a splash of beer hit my mpc and now i am having problems with the do it button, also the record button. does anyone know a way of cleaning. i am comfortable taking it apart, but i am pretty sure that i don't want to use any chemical solution that will corrode the parts. will dust off have any effect. the button still works but sometimes i have to press it a few times.

I can't remember the name of it but there is a component cleaner out in big computer stores that you can apply directly to the circuit board wherever you think it needs cleaning. It is completely safe. Go to a somewhat big PC store and ask the clerk for component cleaner and read the label carefully to see whether or not it is the kind you can brush DIRECTLY on your contacts and metal. I use it at my shop every now and then when reparing and cleaning the insides of laptops. I spray it wherever I need it and it's fine. Just can't remember the name, search for COMPONENT CLEANER though.

You shouldn't be having drinks that close to the gear, you already know the outcome. Hope that helps.

I've had it happen to me as well. One of my friends walked in to visit while I was in the restroom and he didn't even see the sign on my door, "NO DRINKS" and he spilled beer on my ASR X PRO. This was a while back but I did the same thing I'm suggesting to you..
