URGENCE: cf reader problem, mpc doesn't work!!

Hi, I just installed in my mpc2000XL, my cf reader same like:

I installed the os 1.14 before because I was reading here it would work better, but when I push on the mpc's start button, the screen lights on and lights off all the time, and never starts the os.
In the same website (http://home.tiscali.nl/~smeyer/mpc/) I was reading that only works with 1.11 os,
-it's true???
-where Can I dowload it??

finally I installed the os 1.2 and know it works, in device says atapy, but i insert a sd card (16mb) and
it doesn't reconice it!!
why???
I did something wrong in the installation?
may be this os doesn't work properly also?

Uh...did you format the card?

Can't help with regards to your gremlin, however.......

I have o.s 1.14 and use 1gb SD card .....never had a problem from the go. Hmm.... Didn't even realise there was an issue till i read a few more threads on card readers over the last couple of days. I also have the exact model of card reader displayed in the link above.....

DOC!!! save me.... What kind of SD card are you using... I keep getting an error trying to format my 2GB kingston... i have a 128MB Kodak SD card that works.... There need to be a Sticky where people can write all the compatible SD cards...

Remembre to reconice all conexions twice if you must.

The SD card currently in use is some generic MobyMemory 1Gb jobby. Came from my mates mobile phone. ...www.mobymemory.com ...oh and o.s 1.14

oks, now all woks ok,
I checked better the conexions I did and I bought a compact flash card (because with my sd card it does'nt work)
...But I found a new problem with tha 1gb cf card I can't do partitions!!!!
-it's normal???
-may be i must install a newest os version??
I like to do partitions to can organize my beats.

why make partitions if you can make a map for each beat

Used 2GB SD long time. It's actually "San Disk" though. Never used anything else.
