SOUNDS ON ZIP DRIVE

wasup guys, im gonna get straight to the point
prior to today i was tryin to sample all my sounds from my computer into my mpc... i was losing sound quality
one of my friends at the music store told me i could get a zip drive in my pc and transfer the sounds from my computer to my mpc using the zip drive
all my sounds are in .wav format and i tried to put my sounds onto the zip disk and then into my mpc but for some reason it isnt workin
am i doin anythin wrong?

btw the sounds im takin are from a cd that i baught off the net whihc contains some of the sounds of producers
i dont know if this matters
they are in .wav so i dont know if it makes a diff
