is a midi controller needed to load samples into mpc? if so.. then how do i get samples into midi controller? (sorry if ? sounds dumb)

No a MIDI controller is not needed to load sounds in an mpc. If the keyboard is connected to the mpc then the sounds on your mpc will be on the keys. Since MIDI sends DATA signals.
