Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

When I save a song to zip disc I normally save all sequences and songs.
So it is saved as an .All file.

Is there a translator out there that will allow me to open this file and insert the midi code into a computer based sequencer?

Thanks!

.ALL, no, you'll have to save each sequence as MID, then you can import that MID into your computer sequencer. There are 2 types of MID the 2kxl/2k can save as.

What's the difference with Midi Type 1 and Midi Type 0 formats?

Midi Type 1 is a General Midi File with multiple tracks. This format retains the track label and can be seen by most sequencer software products.

Midi Type 0 is a General Midi File with a single track. This format does not retain any track label information. We recommend this format only if your equipment requires it (and some equipment does).
