but i dont have a zip i have an older floppympc2000xl is there anything else i need to get cus for 50 some odd bone i got to get on the wagon

Hey I bought the cf reader that you have in this thread. Did you ever get it installed? If so what else did u need. I too had the old floppy in my mpc not the internal zip.....Let me know wassup, i need to get it installed ASAP because my external zip is about to die.

yes you need to get a conversion piece to go from a floppy power connector to a zip drive power connector, you can get this at your local computer shop.

yo you need an ide cable the converter piece and dont for get to upgrage you os to 1.20 first before you remove your floppy


also yo can only have 32 megs of sound in each folder on you cf cards or it will freeze you mpc took me 2 day to figure that ish out

NO! DO NOT upgrade the OS b4 you install the card reader. It will also work with OS 1.14. Don't take 2 hurdles at the same time; first make sure the cardreader is installed correctly and works b4 you upgrade your OS, If you really want to upgrade the OS.

yo that how it read in the install i down loaded but it was kind of iffy
but i got it in and it works fine
