Programs and Params

Aight... I pretty much understand every tip on the Newbie Bible except for one. Under the prog and params, I changed the Voice Overlap to Note Off because I wanted a note to play as long as I hold it down. However, this doesn’t happen, I've only been able to hear this with bass sounds (that already have this setting automatically), but I got a hot sample that I want to play longer without having to change the tempo. Holla at me... let me know what is good...

Unless you sound is a loop it will only play for as long as it lasts no ? Seems pretty logic to me.

I thought I was good to go. But now when I hold down on the pad, it just sounds like I'm holding down on the Tap Tempo Note Repeat... instead of just hearing a constant note held down. I'm guessing I have to mess around with the trim to get one sound throughout the whole sample. Anyways, if I'm approaching this problem the wrong way or if there is an easier way to go about it.... School the kid.

The sample is a violin sample. Basically, I took a 2 Bar sample and put it into different zones. I'm now taking a small portion of the begging of the sample and adding it onto the whole 2 bar sample, in order to make it sound better (giving it a climax). The problem is, I want to hold down this new portion so it can flow better. I don't know if I answered your question, but I appreciate the help.

Well, this is my first time tweeking with the loop function. I'm thinking of triming it so that there is a constant wave that looks like it has the same amplitude (same level) the whole way. Let me know if you have a different process... if you would tweek with something else besides messing with Trim. If not, it is all good.
