MPC 2000 Store Recommendations

im looking to buy an mpc and was wondering if there are any stores with good deals for an mpc 2000 and accesories(memory upgrades)?

and another question . . .

is it possible to hook up your mpc to your computer to import track into a software programs?

Well, no stores sell the original 2000 anymore. If you want one of those you'll need to buy from an individual. (I've got one for sale!)

The MPC2K has no facility for connecting directly to the computer. You also can not share any SCSI devices between the MPC and the computer. However, disks have some level of compatibility between MPC and PC. There is also an excellent program for creating MPC Programs called MPC Editor. Check it out at www.mpc2000xl.com

Tracking MPC tracks one by one into a multitracking problem is one way of "importing tracks to PC". You'd accomplish this by syncing your MPC to the computer via MIDI, and restart recording while muting all the tracks you don't want to record for that particular pass.

If you're interested in buying an MPC2K with full memory plus zip drive, as well as possibly buying a nice soundcard (Echo MIA MIDI) I have for recording MPC tracks to PC or Mac, hit me up. I'm asking 700.
