If all you're trying to do is sync the two, meaning they keep tempo and Reason starts and stops with the MPC, go to Options->MIDI Clock Sync.
On the MPC, go to MIDI (Shift + 9), and on Sync, the first page, set Sync Out Mode to MIDI Clock.
That should about do it.
