swing

I have a qucik question about swing in general, I wonder do you guys set it as before or after? also what "amount" do you set it too? I know this varies. just food for thought.

there is no set amount of swing i use, and i never adjust the swing until i lay out an idea of the beat, and hear what may need to be swung.

but i havent made a beat without it since i got comfortable using it.

thats not what I was asking mate, on the MPC below the swing of 50% - 70% I think it is, it gives you the option of swinging the notes one way or the other, I think it says before and after, I wanted to know if you keep it to "after" thats what im asking

i use b4 and after. for me, the sample dictates the swing, so it varies.

actually tho, when u adjust the b4 and after, it doenst apply to the swing. its used to move individual samples 1-13 tics, b4 or after where u originally put it.
