Im Coming Back

Jus to let you all know... IM COMING BACK. I used to have an MPC2000 (Classic) which I got back in 1998. Loved the machine. A lil while ago it packed up and I copped a 1000. Didnt like it so I sold it soon after. Concentrated on my computer based production but we all know that aint nuttin like hitting dem pads. So I copped a 4000. I love that thing but to be honest, I dont use it to its full potential as I do most of my fine tweaks in Cubase after tracking. So im coming back to the 2000 but this time I want XL....

Anyone wanna trade (UK ONLY, SORRY).... oh and Im a fussy bar-Steward. My 4000, 8 outs, 512mb, 20gb hd for your 2000XL (SE) yup, has to be a Special Edition, 32mb, 8 outs, and woteva ( plus obviously some £££ on top for the 4000).. Yes Im doolally I know, but I miss my baby.

Damn, I wish my XL was SE.

What's the biggest difference between the XL and the 4000?

4000 got internal effects as standard I think.

Yeh, I use the effects from my UAD-1 card in the PC. I guess I am being a lil bit fussy with wanting the Special Edtion 2000xl but I just want something more interesting to look at. I guess I can be persuaded to swap with a normal XL depending on how much £££ is on top

I'm seriously thinking of selling the 1k and buying a 2kxl soon.
So fuking tired of these pads that akai doesn't want to re-design... tired of reading about newer models having problems too (2500 and 500)...
and you know that the newer models that are supposedly coming out will have problems as well.
I should've bought the 2kxl in the first place (3 yrs ago) when I was trying to decide which model would best suit my needs.
Hindsight is 20/20.
Maybe I'll buy an SE (the chrome finish) and install a multicard reader.
OK, I'm done ranting. Time to repair these defective pads and consider my options.
