MICRO EDITING

i generally just slave my mpc 2000 for sounds, loops etc., but recently i have been exporting midi sequences done in sonar or motif7 to dump into pro tools. i am trying to find out if there is an edit page in the mpc that shows what notes are being triggered in the individual tracks; e.g., somewhere there's step editing or micro editing sub page or whatever akai calls it. seems to me i heard it was, but i've scrolled thru every page i can think of and i can't seem to find it. any help will be appreciated.

What a shame. You've been missing out on 75% of the machine.

whats the other 75 %??? just curious cuz i probably only use my mpc to about 70% of its maximum and would love to learn more

The MPC has a very lightwieght sample engine at best. Even the sample engine in a $200 S2000 blows the MPC away for sampler features (more looping options, keygroups, LFO's, pitch modulations, etc). The MPC really shines in the sequencer dept and accounts for a significant amount of code on the machine.

Do not use an MPC unless you are initimate with the sequencer.
