3.5" Disk Drive on MPC2KXL broken!!!

I borrowed a friends MPC2kxl and put a 3.5" floppy in the drive and the metal part of the disk came loose and got stuck in the drive. I finally managed to pull the entire disk out but now the drive wont read floppys, it just keeps making a noise.

Can I just replace this drive with a new one? I feel like shit that this happened!

It's a regular floppy drive on the 2000xl.
Get it from any computer supplier.
