Audio Outs Dont Work!!!

Hello I just got an MPC, I hooked it up, the headphone jack works, but no sound from the audio outs!!! If I hold the jack halfway in, the I can hear some sound along with some buzzing, but if I plug it all the way in, I cant hear anything!

Anybody, please help!!!!

does your MPC has the 8 output expansion ? or are you refering to the main stereo outputs?

I have the eight outs, I was referring to the main audio outs. Its funny because the sound shows up at the headphone jack, but not the main audio outs.

bad cables/mixer?

I tried balanced and unbalanced 1/4in. Cables. I've been through every screen on the MPC. Does anyone have any tips as far as audio routing screens?

The main outs should be the same as the headphone outs. I would try plugging the headphones into both the L and R main outs and see if you get anything there (remember it will only come out one phone). If you hear out the headphone, and not the mains using this technique, there is most likely a problem with the hardware. If you can hear something, the problem is occuring outside of the MPC.

Any luck with the 8 outs? If it were in fact broken, you could painfully just assign everything to 8 outs every time and work from there. Also... you should have a digital out which is the same as the master out. If you have an interface or mixer with a spdif in, you could work with that.
