MPC2000xl Ribbon Cable

Hello the lcd screen on my mpc2kxl is missing the ribbon cable to connect it to the mainboard. I would like to know if it is possible to just purchase a ribbon cable to connect the lcd to the main board or do i have to purchase an entirely new lcd altogether? Thanks for any help.

it might be cheaper and easier to buy a whole new screen... IMO

How can buying a whole new screen be cheaper than finding and buying a ribbon cable, IF, you can purchase the ribbon seperately?
