WTF....MPC Editor Problem

I took a good few hours building kits etc (As you do) Saved each program on my hard drive then closed the editor after a hard days work.

Today, I wanted to use a kit so i was about to copy it over to my zip....BUT when i recalled the program, it isnt recalling the sounds. Its blank. Why? This cant be right!!!

Im not happy

Resoulution anyone...Has this happened to anyone else b4?

have you saved program + sounds?

Shhhhhhhhit, I dont think i exported program and sounds. I just named and saved the program.

Im sure thats how i do it untillim ready to save to zip

i did that myself about 5 times ....

I believe the manual (oh, there's that 6 letter word again) says something like `if you save the program itself, save in the same directory as the sounds`. Yes, this does mean that all the sounds need to be in the one directory.

Your PGM file is still intact, just put it in the same directory as the sounds that it references (sort of how the MPC itself operates).

The best thing to do is to EXPORT your PGM and Sounds to their own directory. This way you can catalog your kits in separate directories.

This is how I do it. It saves time loading sounds and useful for backing up the kits in case the floppy or zip crashes.
