How can i do that sounds the samples in my midi keyboard???

.... i tried a lot of times, checking the manual, etc...
I would like to do that my midi keyboard can to play the samples like the PADS (with 16 level option)...
(i saw the tutorial also)

The sampler is the MPC2000.

Hey hey Genuino.

Word about the original MPC2000. That's what I work with. It has no chromatic assignment, so you're not going to be able to play tunes using a keyboard properly by default. The pads on the MPC are not laid out in such a way to match the note layout of a keyboard.

The XL has this chromatic layout feature, or you can manually reprogram all pads within a program to play back specific notes, thus letting you play chords via the keyboard properly. You'd still need to assign notes to each pad after that, and it gets to be a bit pointless after a bit, unless you haven't got any other options.

16 levels really is for playing sounds WITH the pads not with a keyboard.

in the program screen u have to assign the note number that corresponds to the key on your keyboard.....this will allow u to trigger a sample just like u were pressing the pad.....if you're talking about taking an instrument sound and scaling it down the keyboard the mpc is not this kind of sampler....although the xl model(and others) have this feature......it's not really the same feature as a rackmount sampler....all it does is pitch the original sound at 16 different pitches.....this won't give u that traditional"piano" type of scale....only the sample pitched up and down.....I hope this is clear
