Using different programs in the same sequence

This is probably asked here before but this is doing my head in and I can't find my manual at the moment...

So I was experimenting with playing my own basslines on the mpc by using the auto-chromatic assignment. So I have one program with my bass sounds. After that I created a new program for my drum sounds.

I recorded in a sequence my hats, kicks and snares in seperate tracks. After that I played my bass and recorded it without problems. But when I play the sequence, I either get my drums or my bass but not both at the same time.

Is it possible to use different programs within the same sequence?
