I'm having problems with assigning individual zones to pads. I'm having no problem recording, trimming and creating the number of zones, once I'm finish I have no idea how to assign the zones to the pads. I've read the manual but didn't get a clear understanding of how to do this. Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks[/quote]

the manual does explain it.............................................................................................. but i'll helpuout....once u sliced it and got the sample chopped how u want hit edit f5 i believe...the screen will say 'edit:slice sound' and it asks if you want to create a new pgm for the new chops (this means that if u chopped the sample into 9 zones then the new pgm that is saved will be the 9 zones and when you want to use it u will need to load the new pgm so u might want to name it accordingly) u can also choose to not save as new pgm.....u will have to highlight the yes where it says create new pgm and then use ur data wheel and scroll to no.....when u dont save as new pgm then u will have to manualy assign the newly chopped zones to whatever pads u want...to do this u have to choose no then go into pgm screen (shift pgm) then pick whatever drum ur using then go to the note sound field and use ur data wheel to scroll to the end and find ur chopps ( u can listen to the sounds to see what they are by hitting play wich is f6) then when u find the chopps just press whatever pad u want it on and make sure that when u press that pad, the sound u want shows up.........practice this a while......
