Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Im sorta new to the mpc 2000 and i bought a zip drive to work with the mp and my usb computer plug. the computer cant read the aspi file of the zip drive through chicken systems translator free. i am wondering if there is an way to get samples, .snd files and .wav files to a zip drive, or if there are any free or relativley cheap programs to do this. if you knwo of one send me a link!

to get those files to a zip drive all you have to do is drag the file to the zip drive. if that is what you are trying to figure out. if not please be more specific.

I agree, from the computer to zip disk you should be able to drag and drop
samples in zip drive folder. I think the only requirement is that from the computer your samples need to be saved as a standard WAV. file. I think only the mpc will save as a SND.file.One thing also is WAV. files seem take longer to load up on the mp.

Format the zip fat/fat16 on pc, that way both pc and mpc can read it.

WAV's take like what, 1-2ms(?) longer, not even an issue.

mpc2000 os 1.70 added the ability to save as wav.
