if you had to trade ur 2000xl ...

if u had to trade ur 2000xl for any other piece of gear of equal or lesser value, wat would it be?

First of all, I would never trade my mpc2000xl for another piece of gear...

Suppose that I would do that in a case of stupidity, memory lapse, or something else I might go for an asr.

The only reason I'd get rid of it would be for a better MPC... but that would cost more. So how about, I'll sell my XL and my z4 for a 4000 today

a brand spanking new mpc 2000xl MCD seeing as i got a 2000xl with a zip, a xl with a brand new mcd would be nice....

ahah sounds like no one would trade, and if they would, they'd go right back to some sort of mpc...

i feel the same way. the reason i ask this question is becase i am moving soon and will probably have to sell my 2000xl. when i finish moving, i will be rebuilding my studio. wen i do, im not sure if i will use that money to buy another 2000xl, or possibly buy another piece of gear to replace it (maybe a newer piece of gear). hmm, maybe ill look into a 2500

I am in the process of selling my MPC 2000xl, and decided to keep my ASR-X Pro. Why did I sell? Because I needed the money and Akai's latest moves has discouraged me. With all the products they've been throwing out from the 500,1000, to 2500 they could had been a little more innovative...but they chose to go the cheap route. As for as I'm concerned Akai has no love for it's customers....and living off an innovation and design of Roger has far outlived it's time. My ASR-X Pro may not have the flexibiltiy of sequencing the MPC offers, but with a beta 4.0 O.S. version, the sequencer has stayed tight and on time.

I just sold my MPC 2000XL. That particular one was giving me pad troubles, and I want to try on the Elektron MachineDrum.
