Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By korce Fri Mar 02, 2007 11:39 pm
So, I was working on a nice beat for a couple hours and...just tweaking the adsr envelope for one of the drums, and suddenly bam!

i get a screen saying error x48598a09 (the numbers are made up...i dont remember what they were)

and then a screen with a whole bunch of letters and number...eg:

AX: 007E SI:6E22 DS:SI=>FF FF FF FF FF *****

on and on and on it goes...
also, above the f3 - f6 keys are:
SEQ RUN STEP MEMORY

I searched on here and it seems as though this has happened to some people before.

The question is, is there any way to get my work back!!! I hadn't saved any of the sequences, just the programs and I really don't want to have to make the whole beat again (ie solving this by turning it off)

Please help...

Sorry Dude, I think yer Effed.
I figured out a way to crash my MPC without fail. If you jack up the bpm to around 200, and do lots of Prefuse 73 tyle 32\3 stutters, 9/10 times I get the same message. Then I turn it off and go kick something.
