I think he means the manual!!
Protools to MPC Midi Sync:
Shift+F7 on the MPC set sync in to Midi Clock
The Midi Input (Port:1 or 2) at the top of the page must be set to correspond with the port receiving the Midi clock at the back of the MPC.
In protools got Setup--> Midi-->Midi Beat clock
And enable sync for the port that you are sending to the MPC from your Midi interface/output.
Hit Play on Protools and the MPC should lock to the incoming clock.
I've found the Beat clock in protools a bit flaky.
Sometimes I have to start and stop a few times before it locks properly.
General stuff:
Most important thing about beat clock is that you should use the shortest Midi cables you can get away with. Longer cable runs can introduce interference to the Midi signal and can corrupt the clock.
Latency also effects beat clock. Set the playback buffer in protools as low as you can go in protools to tighten up the sync.
