sound directory full

What is the "sound directory full 128" prompt message mean. I am trying to load up 3 .PGM files at once. Program 1 has 64 sounds. Prgrm 2 has 60 and program 3 has 60. How come when i try to load up prgm 3 it gives that prompt. My MPC is 32 MB maxed out and i can only load 2 pgm.

What do you have 2000 or xl?

Yea I think to 2000 has a max sound bank memory of 128 sounds,thats what my friend told me.(he has a 2000) the 2000xl has a max of 256 sounds. It doesn't matter how full your ram is it can only hold 128 sounds at once. Hope that helps.
