mpc 2000xl - scsi hard drive

Hi

I have recently brought my akai mpc 2000xl out of storage to start playing with again, and i have just purchased a scsi hard drive to go with it. I used to own a scsi hard drive before but it got lost when i moved house.

Following the original instruction manual i had with the mpc, it instructed me that when i connected the hard drive to the mpc i needed to formate it via the mpc.

I am now about to connect the new hard drive to the mpc, but have lost the origianl instruction manaul and am using one i downloaded, however this new one doesnt hacve intructions for formatting the hard drive so its ready to use.

If anyone could give me a quick run through of how you go about connecting the hard drive to the MPC and formatting it, i would really appreciate it

acutally pleas ignore my above post, just found the section uin the manual on formatting...............it wasnt with the rest of the scsi stuff in the apendix so i assumed it must be missing
