scsi broke?!

Okay...i have read so much but can't find my answer..i keep getting scsi error whenever i try to load anything from my zip on my 2k :twisted. I have a purchased a new zip drive, new cable, and power supply...i read someone say it might be a scsi fuse, how can i find out and how do i fix theproblem?

I had a blown scsi fuse once... it came from trying to connect my zip drive while my MPC was powered on!!! The MPC needs to be off when connecting or disconnecting anything!! I found out the hard way to the tune of $75 bucks!!! IT was worth it though if you like working with the MPC!! Interesting enough however; i am now getting a "disk read error/insert MPC 2000 disk error!!"

If this is an old/persistent problem, is your SCSI chain terminated? If this is a new problem, what did you change, if anything, prior to introducing the error?

does you zip drive(s) have termination switches on the back?
what does the mpc say on the screen when you try to load?

i have had the mpc for a few years on never really used it for anything but a controller..but when i did work and save/load data with my zip, then all of a sudden it would not read the disks...i tried new disk, ne zip drive, new cables and new power supply on my new zip...my old zip,cables, and power supply work fine(minus a few clicks) on my pc..how do i check or change the fuse before i put hard karate chopp to the scsi port!

the switches are correct...it comes up as scsi 5...it will show what's on the disk sometimes, but u can't load it without an error..
