GETTING EVERYTHING CONNECTED

TO WHOEVER CAN HELP OUT:

This is what I'm working with:

-imac (intel based)
-mpc 2000xl
-mbox 2
-tech 1200

How do i get everything connected (in specific detail)?

Do I still need a phono preamp to connect the turntable to the mpc even if i have the mbox?

Should the mpc be hooked into a line input into mbox or midi input (and what is the difference)?

Should I install pro tools before making all hardware connections (does it matter?)

If there's anyone that can help I'm very new to all this and would appreciate some assistance...

for audio start by hooking turntable into mixer, mixer to mpc, and mpc to receiver.
I do not connect my rig to my computer so im not sure if this will work but you shoudl be able to connect the receiver to mbox or the MPC to the mbox and then mbox to computer

now for midi you want to go MPC to mbox and mbox to PC
