I recently discovered this by accident. There was a thread on here a while back asking if you can edit samples while playing a sequence. Well you can, sort of.
If you are on the trim screen and you start playing a sequence from an external source using the Midi Beat clock the MPC stays on the trim screen and you can trim the sample while the sequence is playing
I'm sorry if this is known already I just didn't think it was possible on the XL.
