MIDI Playback in ACID

I have my MPC 2000 hooked up to the computer thru a usb MIDI device. I have the Sync In set to MIDI CLOCK. I'm confused with MIDI in general but how do i set up ACID as a MASTER? All i want to do is be able to press play in ACID (which i use for dumping beats) and control the playback of my MPC 2000. ive checked the manual. ive gotten as far as controlling REASON playback with my MPC but other than that...confusion...appreciate help!

but im unfamiliar with MIDI and im still reading up on it so hopefully ill come across it and if i beat anyone to the punch ill post up the solution myself for anyone who has similar queries, i still appreciate help tho!!

i dont know if u know acid too well, but is there a way to record onto 2 tracks instead of one? example - track 1: mono L track 2: mono R


i got acid 5.0

i usually did that in CEP 2.0 and then imported my tracks into ACID

but now i see the ACID MIDI Config is better and id like to do all i can in that if possible
