MPC Troubleshooting

After debating whether or not to sell my MPC for a Triton, I decided to give the MPC another chance. It's been about a month an a half since I've messed with the machine. When I left it, it was all good. Now coming back to it, i'm getting disk read errors on my zip disks, the machine freezes when I try sampling off the turntables, it freezes when it tries loading sounds from the zip, it freezes when I try trimming a sound. What's good with this, any ideas on what's wrong and a quick solution? Thanks.

hey bro, YOU GOT A LEMON!!!!!!! I've had my 2kxl since 2000, only problems I've had are a few crashes here and there, but nothing to the extent that you've described. Sorry to read about your pains.
