Damn - I bought the ext. CF card drive from scussi4samplers about 6 mnths ago and everything was going sweet - I thought I had put the days of the click of death behind me along with my zip disks.......
Until today when I went to load up a pgm that I had made on my CPU onto my CF card - got a message saying the transfer directory that I made on the CF to get pgms into the 2000XL was corrupted !
I can't access that directory (or the directory for the first beat that I saved on the CF) from the MPC either now. The other directories on the CF card with my beats on them seem to be ok. Just the two oldest directories seem to be dead.
Have any of you guys had any problems with CF cards ?
Hopefully the problem is with the card and not the reader. Tomorow I'll buy more CF cards to confirm that that is the problem.
I'm using a SanDisk Ultra II 1.0 GB card (have been without probs for the last 6 mnths) - anyone had any probs with these or can recommend another brand ?
I'm glad I've been backing up periodically to my PC - those zip drives taught me a hard lesson.
