sharing files between 2000xl and 1000

I have a 2000xl and my buddy has a 1000, can we share files between the 2 units ie .seq, .pgm, .wav, etc?

yes. you will be able to send to your friends all your .MID (type 1) and .SND(or wav). but your friend, would not be able to send his.

the mpc 1K (since 2.10 os) is backward comptaible with seq, pgm and snd from the 2000xl that is all.

on a related subject, does anyone have any experience with midi the two together? 1000 and 2kxl?
