STEREO TO MONO IN MPC 2000?

Hi i have the classic Mpc 2000, is there a way if i have a stereo drum sound to make it into a mono sound inside the mpc 2000 so that instead of taking up 2 outputs on the 8 outs it only takes 1 out, so instead of using up 1+2 it only use 1, then i have more outs to work with ok thanks.

this has been discussed before...

Go into PROGRAM mode and hit the pad you want
go into TRIM mode and highlight the name field and hit OPEN WINDOW.
Hit F3 (Convert) > DO IT
Then go back into PROGRAM mode and change the pad to the sound you want.

then you can go into the mixer screen and select a mono output
