Testing Digital in/outs on MPC2000XL...

Greetings, does anyone know how to test to make sure the digital in/outs(8outs expansion) on the MPC2000XL works properly...Basicly what can I hook it up to using a s/pdif cable to check & make sure it works properly...

Yeah when I switch from Analog to Digital on my MPC2000XL all I hear is static & the message no digital signal carrier...Wassup with that...

You might have to have a digital device hooked up to the SPDIF, or you'll get that error glitchy sound. Do you have a CD or DVD player?
The DVD player should have an SPDIF out on it (Orange looking RCA jack), put a CD in and see if it samples it. DVD's are copy protected so it probably won't sample that.
