Hello all -- i just got an mpc this afternoon used and i just joined tonight. I also just bought an external 250mb zip drive for my mac. I'm tryin to figure out how to get the mpc to recognize my mac formatted zip disc. I read somewhere you could do it -- but I can't find it now. Yes -- the disc is 100mb, as is the mpc's drive. Someone please HELP! Thanks and everyone have a radical new year. Peace.

Just use a PC formatted zip disk. The Mac and the MPC are both able to read PC format.
Cool -- I've heard that as well. If my soundfiles from my mac are all wav files made on the mac, the mpc should still read these then? The zip disc I picked up says it's pc/mac -- so that should be fine right? I don't think I even had to format it when I put it in my external drive. I swear I thought I read something on this site though that said you could change a setting in the mpc for mac formatted discs. What do you think? Thanks. Peace.

Yeah. I made the mistake of buying all mac disk at first.... Then i bought pc/mac and couldn't figure out how to format those...
So just stick with pc formatted disk, they should definitly work.

I use any type of zip disks and I use a Mac G4 w/ OSX and OS9.22. You can re-format the blank Mac zip disk in the MPC or even re-format it in the Mac as a DOS or Windows zip.
Good luck.
