If your E-mu MoPhatt and Roland JV-1080 use midi clock, then it's the easiest way to sync them up.
It should be easy to connect them cause you have 2 midi outs in your 2000xl.

So,make so-called handshake connections: form your mpc MIDI OUTS to Emu and Roland MIDI INS. Then all you have to do is set mpc to send MIDI CLOCK through both MIDI OUTS -> AB [Shift + 9] and Emu and Roland to receive MIDI CLOCK.
That's it.

Thanks! But what about the Yamah Motif??

Here it is

MIDI Connections...

Motif out to MPC in A
MPC out A to MOtif
MPC Out B to Mo Phatt In
Mo Phatt Thru to JV 1080 In...

I would do it that way .
You are daisy chaining the Mo Phat and JV by using the thru connection..

Pick your MIDI Channels on the respective module and then on the Track settings on the MPC chose which one you want to trigger..

Good Luck....

is the motif a rack or keyboard version? so many tight bits of kit and no knowledge of basic midi config.
