Which version of the 2000

are those of you finding are superior for computer-integrated features (i.e. Acid Pro, Pro Tools, Cubase, etc.?) I'm going to be in the market for an MPC shortly and thusfar I'm leaning towards the 2000xl. But i'd like some firsthand info from those who are using it, would I be better off copin a MCD, an oldschool floppy, or the new updated zip drive. I was thinkin the floppy disk route would probly be the least attractive option especially with my desire to load a bunch of sounds straight from my CPU. Whatcha got for me

the old mpc 60 is analog, which is good for some people but overall most people say the Xl is the best for the price and oldschool quality.

read this message again, i think you know yourself what wen,t wrong there

of the old mpcs the eaisiest to swap files with a pc with, is the 2000xl with a card reader installed (you don't have to get the mcd model, it's an easy enough diy job if you source the correct reader)

the 2000 doesn't support ide (only scsi) so you have to use an expensive external scsi card reader or expensive internal one with fiddly mod direct to motherboard or use outdated (and nosy in the studio) zip drives and disks
