any way to erase all ur sounds on the 2000

first sorry for the retard posts.
any way to erase all ur sounds from the mpc 2000.
reason is i got a couple loops im trying to get to work. but i have no sample time left.

seond how long do i have to sample(seconds wise) with out upgrading, and to expand it all i need to is get them memory sticks?

yeah, if you press shift+6 and press purge will erase all your sounds not assigned to any pads.

Sorry I couldn't resist. But is that not a good idea. If not just over write the pads or delete the program

just assign a new sound to that pad and hit the purge function again when you're finished. There's an old skool trick that might work for you if you're using a turntable and that's to sample at a faster speed. Even more importantly sample in mono not stereo. Mono is half of stereo's size. The sound quality isn't lost at all you probably wouldn't even notice.

How about from the trim screen open window on a sample and hit delete all? Sooo simple and hey your not tapping your toes waiting on your unit to reset just to go back to the sample screen anyway.
