I just got my MPC back from audio design in california ( they fixed the data wheel) and now I am having the exact same problem. My MPC functioned perfectly before I sent it to them (with the exception of the data wheel). I get pissed because I will get like 10-15 mins into a sequence and it just freezes. It always freezes while I am using the pads. It just keeps playing the sequence, yet no buttons or pads are responsive.

I tried opening up the MPC, removing the pads, and blowing compressed air over them to clean off any dust particles etc.. that might be there. I tried to reseat my ram. I tried the mem check, says everything is fine, tried the cpu test everything fine.

Then I go back to the pad check, I try every pad in every bank. Bank D or 48-64pads have no aftertouch reading, as well as 1-2 others in different banks. I am wondering if they messed up my pads, or the connecting wires. Anybody got any advice or suggestions?

My MPC is still under my extended warranty, however I just got it back. After it being gone for 3 weeks, In addition to the fact that I just got a grip of new equipment, I really don't want to have to send it in again. I just want to make sure I am not missing anything that I could possibly fix. Thanks in advance.
