Zip Drives

any externel or internal zip drives that are compat with the 2000 xl i'm taking a zip drive hooled up to your computer and is there thing I need to do in or to save zip from my computer from a program like sound forge or files I downloaded from websites ?

An external scsi zip drive does the trick; 100 and 250 mb versions for shure don't know about the 750 ... hell don't even know whether those exist in scsi version.

Nope. Scsi has been abandoned for the zip drives. Strictly USB and firewire as well as IDE now.

I think Seal has it wrong. SCSI was the hardware standard written when the MPC2000XL was developed. There are still thousands, probably millions of SCSI drives available, new or used. Firewire and USB are the current standards, but that won't help you with a MPC2000XL.

Richardson. Do a search here about internal and external Zip drives or even just the word, SCSI. You will see enough info to keep you busy.

No, I meant that Iomega doesnt manufacture anymore SCSI zip drives. They're only making usb/firewire and IDE drives. I didnt mean to suggest that SCSI is a dead standard.
