Replacements screws for inside of mpc 2000

I was looking inside and around my mpc and notice alot of the inside and the screws that hold the casing only have one or no screws,the only full screw set is the four main screws and the ones holding in the front panel.It's missing one on the back,one holding the mobo,2 under the front panel to hold the top cover.Any body know where I could pick up some more screws for my mpc.

You can try getting it from old equipment like hi fi stereo or radios maybe.
I remember that some 'models' of these screws are similar - the same even in different types of equipment.
When I bought my mpc, there were 2 screws missing on the side panel. Luckily I found the ones that matched in a local hardware store.
So...look around,ask friends and you should find some of these little bastards.

I figured that would be about my only option.I guess I'll hit up some electornic stores for some screws. I wouldn't bother,but the I need them because the mobo screw is near my pad section and makes noise rattling when I'm makin a beat.Thanks for the info.

This topic made me open my machine this morning and check if all screws were right there in place. Thanks to that I finally got to clean my pads a little.
Anyway, I opened only the top panel, cause I remember that from the bottom view, there is no screw missing. After close look I state, that there are no screws missing either.

fasttrackpimp - do you mean this metalic sound, when you hit pad 9 or 13 close to left edge ?

Yes pads 13,14,and 9 when I hit them all have a sound of hitting metal.I'm also on a 2000 classic not xl.The missing screw on the top part of the mobo is near the cursor section.Here's the inside of it with the missing screws circled.

just take the screw to home depot and find a match.

I can see that you have a pretty important one missing below the cursor buttons.
I forgot to mention in previous post, that despite of the fact that I have all the screws in place in my mpc, I still get the sound you described. I couldn't really figure out, what was the cause of it...and still can't.
After some time it just stoped bothering me.
Let us know if the 'sound' is still there when you get these screws and hit the pads to check.
