Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By Dj Young Cee Sat May 12, 2007 11:27 pm
Ok I got the mpc 2000 xl but I wanna load the whole folder with all the sounds at one time instead of one at a time. IF any1 could help in i would appreciate it.

look for the pgm file in the folder, if its not there then u have to load each sounds seperatly to each pad, then save the pgm file in the folder, so then u will never have to do that again.
:)

or get mpc editor for pc, and do it in there. takes like 5 seconds

Sounds you need to get into your manual and figure out the different files that the mpc can save and what they do. You'd have had this problem licked if you'd done that already.

in particular:

pgm
aps

that is your answer every time...and, it is usually the right answer...

my question for you is, why do you reply with that all the time...you've replied with that same response atleast a thousand times probably....??

Easy, when I answer and it reads like that, it's because I've SEEN it in the manual thousands of times. I've actually read the manuals for ALL the mpc's many many times over. There is only so much you can pick up from the manuals when you don't have certain models of mpc's though. but for the 2k/2kxl, I've played with both of them alot and yes, aps, pgm will do the trick. Yet and still people continue to ask how to save without even knowing how to spell MPC or bother to look up in the manual how to spell MPC.

I try to answer on stuff that I have a REALLY good clue about and/or that I have actually done and I feel I know enough to speak on it.

Also, I've been around the block a few times.
Also, I'm a IT field service tech, been an Comm/Network/SatComm/IT type dude for 15 years now.

I'm no dummy, well, to some I am.

In short, some people just post up and not think.
I'd rather they think than for me to just spoonfeed an answer.
I'd rather point out a route to the answer than to handhold.

I'd just rather people use that grey matter for something
other than a shell catcher.
