HOLY S%*^, DJ Matman!!

Your like one of my Favorite UK Scratch DJ's. Your episode on DJ Battle TV was awesome, i watch it all the time for inspiration.

Unfortunately, i don't know where to score a card reader in the UK, but im sure someone on here does.

I still cant belief your posting here.....

Peace from Canada,

Rob

well that was fast.

Now Matman Dont forget, use only CF cards so you dont have any problems. SD cards seem to always have problems for people.

Peace,

Rob

Actually that is a pretty good price for a new drive still boxed up.
I've recently seen some older SCSI card readers going for $120 (60 quid) on ebay.

Doesn't look like they ship to the states. There are only UK addresses.
What's 58u??? If you mean 58 pounds, it's about $120-$122.
The exchange rate is killing me! $2.10 = 1 British Pound

I got one from digitalera and installed it over the weekend - it works a treat!

and it's a damn sight cheaper than the one at cimplespares.

viva le card reader!

hi, i bought one of these and can't get it to work in my 2000xl... i've asked DE and they say they only have the one model- did you get an IDE-421.HS(V2)? the furthest i have gotten with it is getting it to boot, which causes a beep and a flash of the yellow light, then a second or two later a flash of the red drive light. the xl doesn't do the switch from floppy to atapi. i have the jumper to cf 50 pin as master, and the drive appears to work okay in a windows pc (it actually still beeps and flashes in the same way, which is even more confusing).

if you or anyone can help, please let me know! this is winding me up a treat.

peace

I didn´t get a card reader yet, but did you updated your OS to 1.20?
Some card readers require that OS.

Still having problems d? :? Did you get that plastic clamp fixed on your cable? I was getting similar issues to what you describe until I got that cable clamped down properly.
