recording beats to cd

hey fellas i got a question. i make beats on a mpc 2xl and i want to record them on cd because alot of people have been asking. i have a burner on my computer. i was wondering is there a way i can burn my beats on cds via the computer. and do i have to install a soundcard? are there any programs out there? Help

Ok........Yes your PC will need a Soundcard. Thats vital!!!!!

You can use a program called WAVLAB or SOUNDFORGE to record from your MPC.

What other equipment are you using? Are you using a mixer? Do you have modules or just the MPC?. The reason i ask, is beacuse i have the feeling your gonna ask how to you go about recording your beats etc.

yeah i have the mo phatt and roland jv 1080 and a little mixer board. thanks for the advice. but what are some good sound cards??

Depends what level of recording you aim to be doing. If you mix on you board to a level you are happy with and just want to run it str8 into your PC then a regular Soundblaster will do the job. Then again if you want to use your PC as a harddisk recorder and bounce indivdual tracks down into say LOGIC or PROTOOLS, you have a bit of research to do.

To get a board/Monitor mix into your PC you will need to assign all channels in use to a BUS on your mixer and send this signal to the sound cards LINE-IN. Its that simple. Make sure you have good gain control so you dont pick up unwanted Hissssss. Once you record your track into your PC, use burning software like NERO to burn it on to CD-R

TECHNICALLY speaking, you dont really need a soundcard. There are USB and Firewire devices that can record sound externally.

After you burn to cd from there, you can just put it into your computer.. convert it to MP3, and then upload it on the internet..
