MPC 2000XL, ProTools LE 7.3.1, Mac OSX, S/PDIF problem

MPC 2000XL
Mbox (Pro Tools 7.3.1)
Powerbook G4

I cannot get the 2000xl to play sound through the S/PDIF into the Mbox. I can play my samples on Pro Tools and record into the MPC. Not sure if it's an MPC issue or Pro Tools issue. I've tried everything I can think of. Any help would be awesome.

You can hear the MPC playing threw the S/PDIF inputs on the Mbox2 showing up in PT right??

Ok thats fine, now here might be the problem, I think S/PDIF Is oneway, or that might be ADAT.

im tired and confused, maybe ill come back tomorrow and try to answer better.

I'll try writing it different. S/PDIF does have in's and out's. I like to load up my samples in pro tools and mess with them before sampling them with the MPC. I play the samples and I can record them digitally with the MPC's S/PDIF. Now I want to **** around with them on the MPC and re-record back into Pro Tools digitally. Can't figure it out. Also I have the original Mbox not the Mbox2.
