How do you partition a CF card?

Can anyone give me any help? Is it possible to do on the PC or do you need to do it on the MPC? Also, with the MPC Editor, when I go to format my CF card it states it is for a MPC 3000 and I use a 2KXL, is it still ok?

If you need to partition you cf card (cards bigger than 1 Gig) you will need to format those on your MPC using OS1.14, OS 1.20 does not do partitions anymore. Remember though that card formatted on your mpc os 1.14 are NOT readble on your pc.

Sometimes, there is no need to format the card, for example with Kingston 1 GB Standard type I just purchased. I just opened the box and could load samples onto the card and adjust them on pc with no formatting. However I am using OS 1.2.
