Akai memory
I have a question about my Akai Mpc2000XL that I have just bought
My problem is that I am using a 1 GB SD card and after I programmed 9 drums with wav. files the screen says that there is not evough memory to load any more pads.

There are 16 pads and 4 banks so I don't understand why this would happen.

Is there a chance that I don't have 32 Megs of Ram? I was told when I bought it there was. If I knew how to, could I take the 16 Meg card of my Akai 2000 sampler?

Also, some of the sounds say that they are wav. files but when I try to load them onto the drum machine it says that they are not PCM wav. files and it won't load that particular folder.

Thanks. I almost thought that I could start using my drum machine until this happened. I hope that someone can show me how to make it work.

While in the sampling screen, press 'open window' and it should tell you how much sampling time you've got left and how much time you already used.
If it says 10,9 sec in stereo, when you haven't sampled/loaded anything yet, then you don't have 32 MB of RAM.
And of course, the number of pads and banks don't determine, how much time for sampling you've got.
