i have some problems with my MPC2000XL MCD..

problem #1

i turn it on, and it works as it should, for about 5-10 minutes. then it gets freaky: none the pads wont respond, but if i hit them hard enough, one pad trigs a whole bunch of sounds..

problem #2

it seems to act normal, except from: sometimes the pads just trigg a couple of other random sounds..

problem #3

pads dont respond at all..

the pads (when the mpc is not buggin, is nice, velocity sensitive, clean, and i dont have to hit em hard at all to get them to respond, bought the sampler new, for about 1 year and three months ago.

everything else on the machine works great, but the pads are ****.. some one? help me!!

never seen that problem...Have you opened up the unit yet? Maybe you have a bad connection some where inside on the board. Put the MPC on a pillow faced downward and take all screws off the bottom cover and JUST LOOK.
