Cursor problems in certain screens..

I got this probelm where my cursor on the sequence screen won't come down from the sequence name and bar position, say to the BPM section or the quantise part, but i go into programs and i can scroll down okay, but in the disk section i can get the cursor down to select a sample or program ect it only goes to format you want to load like programs and sample ect or to select a drive.. this has only just happened i havn't done anything to out of the ordinary i can't get down to quantise or to change my tempo it's annoying ! don't have anything attatched to my MPC 2000 apart from MIDI to my S900, and i'm running the latest OS any suggestions ?? the cursor works Okay buttons are fine it seems to be softwarre problem..
